Nowruz.

Nowruz is the most important holiday in Iran, on the turn of Esfand and Farvardin.

This is Hajji Firuz, in some respects symbol of Nowruz period. He symbolises rebirth of the Sumerian  god of sacrifice.

Preparations to Nowruz start long before 21th March. People clean up their houses and do shopping.
Iranians visit their family and friends.

Must see!

Yay! Finally I found it- a woman who travelled to Iran alone - all is documented in short and nice movie. I couldn't stop smiling while watching it!

Touristic side of Iran- Tehran

Iran, as a touristic destination is a very underestimated country, most of the people hearing that someone would like to go to Iran voluntarily, usually question his or her sanity.
For sure it's "merit" of ayatollahs and clergy governing this beautiful country.
Fortunately, the views of the majority of Iranians are far from the standards imposed by the conservative government, which makes traveling around Iran and contact with its people  real pleasure. Persian culture is one of the most ancient in the world, and until today it remains a lot of great proofs of its greatness, however the most captivating thing while travelling to Iran is an unique hospitality of Iranians.

I gathered some opinions of Polish travellers, after their holidays in Iran. Here we go :) .

Tehran
As you know, it's a capital of Iran . Kinda chaotic, but friendly and rather opened. Omnipresent smog might rasp on fragile lungs. Every tourist shall see the museum of carpets, museums of jewels and charming parks, where the trees give a shelter from the sun. From Tehran we've also got a beautiful view of Damavand mountains- a great place for hiking.

Avalesh...

At first let me tell you that I am not English native speaker- I am sorry in advance for my mistakes (if anybody's going to read this) .

It's such a long time I am in love with Iran, so I hit on an idea to create a blog, which would show upside of Iran (when it's so unbearable to see all the media showing dark side of that country).

On this blog, I am going to publish some videos which catched my eye, some articles and easy Farsi/Persian lessons (though I am not very good in Persian, I will try. I have good teachers, thank you all!).

I think this video is very nice. It shows North Tehran- do you see any camels here? :D
